Lactation Support from the comfort of home.

How do I know if I have enough milk? Is it normal for feeding to be painful? How long do I need to feed my baby? Should I pump? Do I need to wake my baby up to feed? Why does my baby feed all the time? When will I get some sleep? Will I ever be able to enjoy feeding my baby?

You are not alone in feeling like you have more questions than answers. An in-home or virtual consult can address these questions and more. As a client of Latching Littles, you will also have access to secure text messaging and email, so you can rest assured that you are supported even after the visit.

When do you need to call a lactation consultant?

  • If you have any nipple pain –  breastfeeding shouldn’t hurt!
  • Baby can’t latch or falls off the breast or chest
  • Not enough weight gain or not enough wet or dirty diapers
  • Baby is on the breast/chest for long periods of time (45+ minutes) after day 2 or constantly wants to feed (every hour or more)
  • Baby does not seem satisfied after feedings
  • Redness, pain or swelling in the breast
  • If you are feeding twins (or more!)

You are the expert on your body and your baby. You get to define what a successful feeding journey looks like. Whether your goal is to exclusively breast/chestfeed through toddlerhood, or you are hoping to use a combination of breastmilk and formula, my job is to empower you with the tools to get there. Together, we will come up with a plan that feels sustainable for you and your family.
